Bromma Ironwake
Species
Dwarf
Appearance
Bromma Ironwake is a compact, weather-thick dwarf who moves like someone always balancing on a swaying pier. Her face is carved with salt lines and old laugh wrinkles, but her expression is sharp enough to cut rope. Her beard is braided into three heavy cords with brass tags and lengths of blue net-thread, yet one braid is tied with a child's ribbon, an oddly delicate contrast to her hard, practical presence. Her hands are broad and scarred, smelling faintly of tar, vinegar, and fresh ink. She looks stern until she smiles, when she becomes unexpectedly gentle and almost shy.
“Gravelly and precise, with a dockside cadence that turns every sentence into either a warning or a promise..”

Distinguishing Features
A white scar across her left cheek shaped like a hooked crescent
Two missing fingers on her right hand, replaced by a custom iron thumb ring and leather wrap
A brass whistle on a chain that never leaves her neck
A small burn mark on her collar from the night of the harbor fire
One unexpectedly delicate ribbon braided into her beard
Voice
“Low, rough, and dry as old rope, with a surprising warmth when she is speaking to frightened people.”
Clothing
A tar-dark dockmaster coat reinforced with brass buttons, heavy wool trousers, sea boots with patched toes, and a waterproof apron covered in ink stains, rope burns, and old salt crust. She wears one polished silver ear cuff shaped like a gull, an unexpected piece of elegance that she insists belonged to her dead husband.
Body Language
She stands squarely with feet planted like dock pilings, hands clasped behind her back when listening, and points with her chin instead of her finger. When thinking, she taps two knuckles against her ledger in a slow tide-like rhythm. In arguments she leans forward just enough to make taller people feel physically outmatched.
