Species

Appearance
Moren is a lean human with the alert stillness of someone who listens for pain before he looks for it. His hands are permanently stained with honey, ash, and old blood at the knuckles, but they move with astonishing delicacy, as though he were handling crystal. He wears a contradiction of polished brass spectacles and a travel-worn coat patched with cheerful embroidery, including tiny flowers sewn over several bullet holes. A pale scar crosses his lower lip, and when he smiles it is quick and involuntary, as if he has been caught being kind.
“Soft-spoken, exact, and surprisingly persuasive when he is certain. He uses plain words for pain and elaborate words for pride, as if the first deserves honesty and the second deserves a little humiliation.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin pale scar through the lower lip.
Inky stains on two fingertips that never fully wash out.
Brass spectacles repaired with mismatched wire.
A pouch of dried lavender tied to his belt with red thread.
One sleeve stitched with tiny flower patterns over old bullet holes.
Voice
“Low, steady, and intimate, with a habit of sounding both apologetic and unimpressed at the same time.”
Clothing
A moss-green healer's coat over a faded linen shirt, travel boots, a leather apron with interior pockets for tools, fingerless gloves for winter work, and a satchel reinforced with copper clasps. He wears a neat silver-thread wristband from his grandmother, though he claims it is only to identify his left hand in the dark.
Body Language
He moves in short, efficient steps, shoulders slightly forward as if always leaning into the next emergency. In conversation he rarely stands still, but his hands are calm, precise, and unexpectedly graceful. When angered, he grows very still and tilts his head like a physician listening to a troubling heartbeat.
