Species
Chromavaft
Appearance
Aeloris looks like a walking stained-glass experiment who somehow learned to breathe. His skin shimmers with translucent bands of teal, rose, amber, and moonlit violet that drift like oil on water beneath a glassy surface. He is slender and precise in movement, always seeming to tip slightly forward as if listening to invisible bubbles rise through the air. His hands are long-fingered and nicked with tiny white scars from old burns, yet he keeps them immaculate and perfumed with citrus and smoke. One eye is a bright honey-gold lens behind a round brass monocle, while the other is a soft, warm silver, giving him a mismatched gaze that feels both kindly and unsettling. He wears a sharply tailored shop apron over layered scholar's robes, but the apron is embroidered in cheerful little stars and moths, a frivolous detail that clashes with his severe, almost surgical posture.
“Softly articulated, careful, and a little theatrical, as though every sentence is a measured pour from a stoppered flask.”

Distinguishing Features
A brass monocle that rotates tiny colored lenses over his right eye.
A permanent crescent-shaped burn mark on the inside of his left wrist.
A necklace of sealed ampoules filled with a different liquid color each day.
A faint scent of bergamot, wet stone, and lamp oil that follows him everywhere.
A speaking habit of tapping a code into bottle necks when he is lying or afraid.
Voice
“Quietly musical, with a refined cadence that sharpens into dry steel when he is challenged”
Clothing
A charcoal shopcoat lined with iridescent satin, a glass-buttoned apron stained in rainbow chemistry blooms, fitted gloves with three fingers cut away for dexterity, and a narrow belt of nested vials, seals, and tiny brass measuring spoons
Body Language
He stands with elegant stillness, but his fingertips constantly tap invisible rhythms against bottles, counter edges, and his own sleeves. When intrigued, he leans in on the balls of his feet as if pulled by magnetism. When irritated, he folds his hands behind his back and tilts his head in a way that makes him look almost saintly, which is usually the least safe version of him.
