Thalion Vaelora
Divine Bard
Thalion Vaelora
Species

Appearance
Thalion appears as a tall, constantly shifting humanoid figure whose features borrow from many peoples without fully belonging to any of them. His skin looks like moonlit parchment overlaid with faint constellations that drift under the surface when he moves. Silver hair falls in long, weightless strands that sometimes break into lines of script or musical staves before settling back into place. His robes resemble layered archival cloth stitched with gold thread, but close inspection reveals they are made from turning pages, faded banners, and strips of translucent hymn notation. He carries himself with measured, unhurried grace, as though each step is chosen from a thousand remembered footsteps. The most unexpected detail is that his left hand is callused like a laborer's, rough with old work, while his right hand is ink-stained and elegant, as if two different lives share the same body.
“Thalion speaks in a calm, resonant cadence, often layering poetry over precision. He rarely raises his voice, but when he does, it sounds like a choir finding perfect harmony after a long silence.”

Distinguishing Features
A ring of drifting symbols circles above his head like a halo made of alphabet fragments and musical notes.
His eyes resemble deep library lanterns, warm gold at the center and storm-gray at the edges.
Thin luminous scars run across his throat and wrists, said to be the marks of old vows he made to remember what others forgot.
His shadow sometimes lags behind by half a heartbeat and appears to be reading.
When he is silent for too long, faint voices can be heard echoing from the folds of his mantle.
Voice
“Low, resonant, and layered with faint harmonies, as if several generations are speaking through one careful mouth”
Clothing
An ever-changing mantle of layered blue, silver, and violet vestments, lined with gold thread, hanging memory seals, and ribbons of script; beneath it he wears soft travel boots and a plain sash that suggests a monk, scholar, and wayfarer all at once
Body Language
Still and attentive, with occasional page-turning gestures in midair; when moved, he leans slightly forward as if drawn toward the next line of a story
