Coordinator and Tunnel Saboteur
Sargon bint-Marid al-Rimal
Species
Air Genasi
Appearance
Sargon bint-Marid al-Rimal is a compact, rugged air genasi woman whose pale-gray stone skin is veined with faint wisps of silver vapor around her throat, wrists, and knuckles. Soot has settled permanently into the shallow grooves beside her nose and beneath her eyes, giving her the look of someone carved from a chimney brick and then dragged through a storm. Her dark eyes are deeply observant, rarely blinking, and seem to measure every ceiling, doorway, boot, and hand in the room. Her short-cropped hair lifts slightly even in still air, as if an unseen draft is always passing over her scalp. She moves with economical, close-quarters precision, keeping her center of gravity low and her shoulders angled toward the nearest exit. The unexpected contradiction is that despite her hard, stone-like appearance, her hands are remarkably gentle, especially when repairing a child's toy, bandaging an injured worker, or brushing grit from a dead comrade's face.
“Low, dry, and clipped, with the rasp of grit moving through a pipe. She rarely raises her voice.”

Distinguishing Features
A heavy brass mining hammer custom-engraved with the names of fallen workers across its striking face.
A thin vertical crack runs from her left temple to the corner of her mouth, glowing faintly with cool blue light when she is frightened.
Her breath is visible as silver mist even in warm air, though she does not need to breathe.
The metal studs on her boots are stamped with the dates of two mine disasters.
Dust and loose ash drift toward her when she is standing still, as if gravity has briefly forgotten her.
Voice
“A contralto rasp with a faint whistling undertone, like wind squeezing through a cracked ventilation shaft.”
Clothing
Reinforced canvas mining gear layered over flexible black leather armor, with patched knee guards, a soot-darkened scarf, steel-toed climbing boots, fingerless gloves, a brass surveyor's compass, and a leather satchel packed with percussion charges, fuses, chalk, wire, and bandages.
Body Language
Sargon stands slightly sideways, one foot prepared to pivot, with her hammer hand loose and her free hand near the satchel strap. She studies people from beneath lowered brows, but her posture softens visibly around exhausted laborers and children. When angry, she becomes unnaturally still, while faint currents of air tug at loose straps and hair.
