Appearance
Thromgar iron-Found is a broad, compact dwarf whose body seems assembled for work rather than display, with shoulders like gate hinges and forearms ridged by old burns, calluses, and pale scars. His ruddy skin is permanently dusted with white construction chalk and fine red desert grit, which gathers in the creases around his eyes and makes him look carved from a half-finished statue. His thick iron-grey beard is divided into seven braids, each bound with a different copper fitting and tucked into his tool belt. He moves with a heavy, deliberate rolling gait, yet his hands are startlingly delicate when adjusting a hair-thin valve or tracing a vibration through stone. His expression is stern enough to discourage conversation, but he wears tiny spectacles made from blue bottle glass when reading pressure needles, an unexpectedly fussy detail on an otherwise rugged figure.
“A gravelly baritone with clipped phrasing and the occasional metallic rasp, as though every word has passed through a pipe before reaching the air..”

Distinguishing Features
Seven beard braids bound with different copper fittings, each representing a major fortress he has repaired.
Blue bottle-glass spectacles worn only while reading pressure needles.
A deep crescent scar across his left palm from a snapped blast-bulkhead lever.
A faint rhythmic tapping in his left boot caused by a concealed tuning weight.
White chalk symbols on his knuckles that mark the last five structural faults he personally corrected.
Voice
“Low, dry, and resonant, with a faint echo that makes even ordinary remarks sound like they were spoken inside a vault.”
Clothing
A reinforced leather smithing harness over a heat-resistant canvas tunic, heavy steel-toed boots, thick work gloves, a brass-plated tool belt, and a soot-dark cloak used for crawling through maintenance shafts.
Body Language
Thromgar plants his boots widely, keeps one hand near his hammer, and often presses two fingers against a wall while listening. He tilts his head toward sounds others cannot hear. Irritation appears as a tightening of his beard braids, while genuine fear makes him unnaturally still.
