Thara bint-Suleiman
Cleric 9, Divine Order: Thaumaturge
Thara bint-Suleiman
Species
Water Genasi
Appearance
Thara looks carved from a quiet pool beneath moonlight. Her translucent blue-green skin carries faint silver veining around the throat, wrists, and temples, like water flowing through cracked glass. When she moves, her body seems to arrive a heartbeat before the rest of her, leaving a brief shimmer in the air. Her face is broad, tired, and beautiful in the practical way of someone who has survived too many negotiations to care about beauty. A small scar cuts through her left eyebrow, an ugly mark that she refuses to conceal beneath cosmetics. Her hands are callused from years of hauling children and injured laborers through floodwater, though she wears the rings of a high prelate. She gives the impression of absolute stillness, but droplets gather at her fingertips whenever she is angry.
“Her voice is low, clear, and unhurried, with the soft rasp of dry wind moving over glass. She pronounces names carefully and rarely uses contractions.”

Distinguishing Features
A narrow scar crossing her left eyebrow, deliberately left visible
Silver droplets that form at her fingertips when she is angry
A quartz mirror engraved with hundreds of tiny names
A missing ring finger on her right hand, replaced by a jointed glass-steel prosthetic
Her reflection sometimes turns its head a fraction later than she does
Voice
“A low contralto with the patience of deep water, carrying a faint desert rasp and a precise, almost ceremonial cadence”
Clothing
She wears layered robes of deep blue, smoke-gray, and translucent crystal-weave, cut for movement rather than display. The hems are stitched with tiny mirrored discs that click softly as she walks. Beneath the robes is a fitted vest of flexible glass-steel scales. Her soft-soled sandals are dusted white from the desert roads. A braided cord around her waist carries sealed letters, emergency salts, and three small vials of cooling water.
Body Language
Thara keeps her shoulders relaxed and her chin level, with both hands usually resting around her mirror or crook. She makes almost no unnecessary movement. When anger breaks through her composure, the water in nearby vessels trembles, her fingers curl slowly, and a thin film of condensation spreads across reflective surfaces.
