Aqua Lynx

River folk tell of a blue ghost-cat that watches from beneath the water and takes only the unwary. The truth is stranger than the legend: the aqua lynx is a rare apex beast adapted to freshwater darkness. Its lateral line senses the smallest pressure changes, while faint electrical awareness helps it locate living creatures even in muddy water. When it strikes, it does so with the confidence of a feline hunter and the sudden violence of a fish on the line.

Amphibious. The aqua lynx can breathe air and water.
Murk Sense. The aqua lynx has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or detecting movement in water.
Tail-Driven Rush. If the aqua lynx moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a Bite attack on the same turn, the target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone if it is on land, or pulled up to 10 feet toward the lynx if it is in water. If the target is Medium or smaller and the lynx is underwater, the target is also grappled. Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained only while the lynx remains submerged and the target is in the lynx’s space or within 5 feet of it in water.
Silt Stalker. The aqua lynx has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made underwater or in areas of heavy obscuration such as silt, reeds, or submerged roots.
Silt Slip. When a creature the aqua lynx can see ends its turn in water within 10 feet of the lynx, the lynx moves up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks. This movement must be underwater and toward the triggering creature if possible.
