Gutterbloom Larva - AI-generated fantasy Monster

Gutterbloom Larva

Among fey courts that dwell under rotten logs and in the green dark between worlds, these larvae are considered a disgraceful but useful blight. They are not true predators of flesh alone. They are gardeners of living tissue, planting eggs where pain has already opened the door. Herbalists fear them because the parasite's enzyme turns once-healthy organs into a warm slurry that the newly hatched brood can drink like broth. Most victims never notice the larva itself, only the fever, the sweetness in the air, and the faint sensation that something is moving just beneath the skin.

Unnoticed Carriage. The larva can take the Hide action as a bonus action, even while lightly obscured by blood, muck, foliage, a corpse, or a living host. While hidden inside a willing, helpless, or unconscious host, it is nearly impossible to detect without magical means or a careful medical examination.
Hidden Infestation. The larva has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to remain unnoticed in natural debris, organic matter, or a creature's body. It can move through a hostile creature's space while hidden from that creature.
Organ Slurry. If the larva starts its turn inside a creature it has infested, that creature takes 10 () necrotic damage as its organs are dissolved into feeding slurry. The creature can repeat the Constitution saving throw against infestation at the end of each of its turns, ending the infestation on a success if the larva has taken radiant damage since the start of the creature's turn.
Needle Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 10 () piercing damage plus 7 () necrotic damage. If the target is a creature and is missing any hit points, it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or become infested. While infested, the target can't regain hit points, and the larva hides in the host's body. The infestation can be ended only by greater restoration, remove curse cast with a 5th-level spell slot or higher, or by dealing 20 radiant damage to the host in a single turn. When the infestation ends, larva burst forth in unoccupied spaces within 5 feet of the host, each acting on the parasite's initiative count. A creature can be infested only once at a time.
Enzymic Spittle. Ranged Weapon Attack: to hit, range 20/60 ft., one creature. Hit: 13 () poison damage, and the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be poisoned until the end of its next turn. If the target is already poisoned, it instead has disadvantage on the next saving throw it makes against the parasite's Needle Bite or Egg-Lay.
Egg-Lay. The larva touches a creature within 5 feet that is poisoned, grappled, restrained, or incapacitated. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the parasite forces an ovipositor thread into the target's body. The target is infested if it is missing any hit points, or if it fails by 5 or more, it is infested regardless of its hit points. This action bypasses the parasite's need to hit with Needle Bite.
Bursting Ichor. When a creature the larva can see hits it with a melee attack while the creature is within 5 feet of it, the attacker must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 7 () necrotic damage as the parasite sprays corrosive ichor. If the attacker was already wounded, it also has disadvantage on the next saving throw it makes against infestation before the end of its next turn.
