A stout journal bound in midnight-blue leather, its cover embossed with twisting corridors that seem to shift whenever viewed from the corner of the eye. A tarnished brass clasp resembles a tiny door handle, while the page edges shimmer with alternating bands of silver and gold. The ink inside is normally faded brown, but passages describing danger, deception, or hidden routes brighten to a cool blue.
