Dawnwatch Shield

This broad steel shield is faced with overlapping bronze plates engraved to resemble feathers. A warm amber light glows between the plates whenever danger approaches, and its central boss is shaped like a watchful eye. The shield bears countless tiny scratches, each one said to mark a life saved beneath its protection.
