Chronal Forge Anvil

This relic is not a portable trinket but the heart of an ancient forge, a waist-high anvil and furnace fused into one seamless device of black iron and pale stone. Thin crystal windows in its sides show drifting scenes of past and future: a locked gate, a rope bridge in a storm, a key turning in an unseen lock, a blade reflected in water. When fed flame, the forge answers those visions by shaping raw material into exactly the kind of useful object the party seems to need, though never with a label or explanation. The finished creation always bears a faint hourglass emblem stamped somewhere discreetly on its surface.
