Spoils Beneath the Dire Wolf's Shadow

The battlefield has gone quiet, but the signs of the struggle remain: churned earth, broken spear shafts, and the massive paw prints of the dire wolf. Beneath the beast's resting place, the party discovers the scattered belongings of a fallen militia scout. Most of the useful spoils are mundane and worn, yet the wolf's thick pelt and the battered company badge may prove valuable to a local tanner, quartermaster, or grieving regiment.
