The geode explodes in a cacophony of sound. All creatures in a 15 foot emanation must attempt a DC 21 Fortitude save. Critical Success: The creature is unaffected. Success: The creature takes 2d8 sonic damage. Failure: The creature takes 4d8 sonic damage and is deafened for 1 minute. Critical Failure: The creature takes 8d8 sonic damage and is deafened for 1 hour.
Casting a 2nd level or higher Silence spell on the area of the crystals renders the hazard unable to trigger for the duration of the spell.
