Tattooed Warriors turn their bodies into living arsenals. Through painstaking designs, ritual scars, enchanted pigments, and spiritual discipline, they awaken supernatural tattoos that reinforce their fighting style, call forth temporary weapons and armor, imitate magical effects, and summon loyal animal spirits. Their power is deliberately limited by permanence: a Tattooed Warrior prepares a small collection of designs and must live with those choices until they find rare expertise capable of altering them.

Multiclassing

Ability Score Minimum: Strength 13 or Dexterity 13. When you gain a level in this class through multiclassing, you gain proficiency with light armor, medium armor, shields, simple weapons, martial weapons, and tattooist’s tools.

Training & Initiation

A prospective Tattooed Warrior first learns to endure controlled pain, maintain perfect focus, and understand the cultural meaning of each mark. A master then applies a foundational design through a ritual using enchanted pigments, rare minerals, monster blood, or consecrated ash. Further tattoos require training, personal sacrifice, and a meaningful deed; once completed, a design becomes part of the warrior’s permanent repertoire and cannot normally be replaced.

Societal Perception

People often see Tattooed Warriors as impressive, dangerous, or uncivilized depending on local customs. Their visible designs make them easy to recognize, while their permanent nature earns respect from artists and suspicion from rulers who fear hidden marks and secret allegiances.
