Psyker

Psykers are full casters who weaponize thought, emotion, and invisible force. Through spoken focus and deliberate physical gestures, they read intentions, bend bodies, hurl objects, close wounds, and reshape the battlefield. Their minds resist psychic intrusion, but emotional disruption can break their concentration and turn their greatest strength into a liability.

The Psyker

Spellcasting & Powers

The Psyker is a full caster using Intelligence. Rather than preparing traditional spells, the Psyker learns Psyker powers and can use the spells on the Psyker spell list through the normal 2024 spellcasting rules, using Psi Points to fuel signature disciplines. The Psyker can prepare a number of spells from the Psyker spell list equal to the Psyker level + Intelligence modifier, and can use a spellcasting focus only when it replaces the required physical component; spoken and somatic components remain necessary unless a feature removes them.

Advanced Manipulation

Hold Person Locks a humanoid’s motor functions through neural interference.
Levitate A direct application of sustained telekinetic force.
Sending Allows long-distance mental communication.
Slow Disrupts the timing and coordination of several creatures.
Tongues Reconstructs linguistic meaning directly in the target’s mind.

Massed Psyche

Confusion Overloads the minds of creatures in an area with conflicting impulses.
Telekinesis The definitive high-level expression of psychokinetic control.
Wall of Force Forms a barrier from compressed invisible force.
Mass Cure Wounds Projects a broad restorative mental pulse through nearby allies.
Synaptic Static A psychic blast that damages and weakens enemy coordination.

Transcendent Will

Dominate Monster A powerful form of direct mental control.
Heal Rebuilds a creature’s physical condition through precise psychic influence.
Project Image Creates a distant sensory projection controlled by the Psyker’s mind.
Psychic Scream A devastating assault against multiple minds.
Power Word Stun A single overwhelming psychic command that shuts down a creature’s responses.

Multiclassing

Prerequisite: Intelligence 13. When multiclassing into Psyker, you gain proficiency with one tool kit and Healer’s Kits. You gain no armor proficiency. Your Psi Points are based only on your Psyker levels, and Psyker power saving throws use Intelligence.

Proficiencies

Armor: none. Weapons: simple weapons and natural weapons. Tools: Healer’s Kits and one artisan’s tool or other tool kit. Saving Throws: Intelligence and Wisdom.

Skill Options

Choose two: Arcana, History, Insight, Investigation, Medicine, Nature, Perception, Persuasion, or Survival.

Training & Initiation

Most Psykers awaken after trauma, prolonged meditation, exposure to strange phenomena, or contact with another awakened mind. Formal training teaches breath control, emotional regulation, precise hand movements, and the safe use of spoken psychic formulae. Initiates usually spend months learning to move a single object before attempting to alter a living creature’s thoughts or body.

Societal Perception

Psykers are admired as healers and advisers, employed as spies and investigators, and feared as potential mind thieves. Most communities tolerate them when their powers are visible and regulated, but ordinary people often distrust anyone who can influence thoughts or emotions.
